Yoga found me in 2009 when my body had begun to rebel against years of competitive sports and the frequent, grueling training they required. I had also just gone through a painful divorce and was literally breaking down….physically, mentally and spiritually. Everything I had come to rely upon -a strong body, a fiercely competitive mind and spirit and a will that allowed me to believe I could overcome anything – was giving way. I knew I needed something to give me back my spark, but what?

I went to my first yoga class at Synergy Power Yoga, a Baptiste studio in Barrington, RI. After just 15 minutes I was hooked! I enjoyed the challenge of the physical practice and I learned to respect my body and its limitations. I also learned to be a bit kinder to myself. No longer did everything need to hurt to be beneficial. I came to Yoga for my body, but I continue to practice for my soul and overall well-being.

Because I had such respect and love for my wonderful Yoga teachers, and what they had given me, I wanted to share what I had learned with others. I, therefore, studied with Gregor Singleton and Claire Este McDonald at the Baptiste Institute in Cambridge, MA to complete my 200-hour YTT (2014) and 300-hour YTT (2016). Now, after 500 hours of teacher training, it’s time to start my journey of giving back. I look forward to sharing time together on our mats where we’ll explore and create new potentials.

SLOW FLOW Saturdays at 10 AM

Warm Vinyasa Flow – This 75-minute moderate level complete Vinyasa practice will be taught in a way that will allow you to work within your own level of experience. Modifications will be offered and encouraged. Our class will focus on mindful breathing and alignment to support an enjoyable Vinyasa experience, leading you to increased strength, flexibility, and unexpected openings.

SLOW FLOW – This class is a slower Vinyasa flow that will move through postures thoughtfully, building strength and flexibility with body integrity. We will take the time to understand Alignment and the wisdom in the Asanas, always focusing on breath while flowing. Perfect for beginners and students looking to ease into Vinyasa flow.
