Leah has a unique set of life experiences that include a spinal cord injury, raising a large family, and getting a college degree later in life. Leah is a lifelong learner and has a Master’s in Education having studied extensively how people learn, what motivates their learning, and how to enhance that learning. Leah also brings her postgraduate training in solution-orientated therapy, cognitive therapy, and experience as a certified family mediator into her work with people. These in combination with her love of learning and her belief that we each have multiple strengths that only need to be discovered have allowed her to embrace teaching with vigor and joy. She currently teaches college courses: Religions of the World and Dimensions of Work, a critical thinking course, as well as works part time at The Local Grocer. Leah is the owner of The Center for Balance which shares ways to find balance in your life. She is trained in Reiki (master level) and Shamanism. In addition to spiritual growth, her passions include: being in Nature, her dog, reading, and creating art. Leah enjoys life, living and discovering connections with and for others.
