I have been consistently practicing yoga since 2016 and I enjoy the deep sense of calm I find on the mat. I completed my yoga teacher training program in March of 2018, receiving my RYT 200 from Katie O’Connell at Dragonfly Yoga Barn, Studio & Retreat. Yoga teacher training provided me with a safe space to deepen my understanding of myself and develop a skill set to calmly navigate through the rough waves life can throw in your path. Yoga has challenged my mind and body to cultivate strength, flexibility and acceptance and I look forward to being a lifelong student of yoga. I practice Ashtanga for the strength and discipline the practice brings to my life. I enjoy teaching vinyasa for the creative freedom of sequencing a class that I can explore with students. As a teacher, my goal is to create a safe space with in the classroom for students to explore the mind body connection and develop strength and flexibility with a sense of steadiness and ease.
Core & Balance Yoga – Fridays at Ten
Core and Balance Yoga Flow will strive to improve your balance, strength and stability within the mind and the body. We will begin by grounding and tuning into the body followed by warming the body through a series of postures focusing on igniting our inner fire and developing core strength. Once the body is warm and the core activated, flow through a sequence of balancing postures that will challenge you to improve your coordination, strength, stability and concentration. Class will end with an extended savasana to absorb the benefits of practice. Modifications offered as well as progression when you feel ready to advance and improve your practice.
